Teairra Mari – ‘Now Or Never’ [Mixtape Review]

@Teairra_Mari drops ‘Now Or Never’ hosted by @DjScream. As a whole, I liked her last mixtape, Night Before X-Mas, better.  This time she releases a mixtape with all original music and a lot of production from a producer by the name of Hollywood Hot Sauce. My favorites on the mixtape are the first and the last songs, “U A Freak” and “Pum Pum Shorts (Remix)” featuring Mr Vegas. “U A Freak” is probably the story of my club experiences since I’m mostly always out with a group of my home boys. It talks about the girls trying to drink from other people’s bottles and trying to bag a dude with money. Typical thing you see on Miami Beach daily in the club scene. Everything in between is more on the slow side and damn near put me to sleep as the mixtape went on. It’s not a solid mixtape that I’d replay over and over on the regular but I did download it to have “U A Freak” and “Pum Pum Shorts (Remix)” in my iTunes. “Pum Pum Shorts” was on the last mixtape though. The question that still remains is if we’re ever going to see an album from Teairra Mari after her departing from RocAFella or if she’ll forever remain just a mixtape RnB singer.
